I want to help Nashville SC excel in the MLS – David Accam

Ghanaian attacker David Accam has shared that he wants to help his Nashville SC side enjoyed their maiden season in the Major League Soccer (MLS).

The forward enjoyed a very good season with the club in the past season after he was traded from Philadelphia Union to Columbus Crew.

He helped the team to have a successful stint in the United Soccer League (USL) and subsequently secured qualification to the MLS which will start next year.

Ahead of that inaugural campaign, David Accam says he is lucky to be part of the top-flight newcomers and will do his best to help the team.

“I find myself lucky to be in Nashville. I have stayed in many cities across the world and even though I have been here twice, so far I think I will rate Nashville higher compared to most of the cities I have stayed in”, he said in an interview with the club's channel.

He added, “At the moment I want to help Nashville come into the League and do really well. Make the playoffs and hopefully win trophies”.

“We are the first set of players coming to Nashville, so we will be the benchmark for the team. For us, we need to set good goals, we need to try and leave a mark on the team.

“We need to do everything to set the tone for this club."

He will feature in Nashville SC’s first match in the MLS against Atlanta United if he managed to show top form in pre-season.
