I want to play more matches in the Ghana Premier League – Asamoah Gyan

Black Stars top scorer of all-time, Asamoah Gyan has noted that he wants to play more matches for Legon Cities FC in the Ghana Premier League.

The exciting striker joined the capital-based club last year prior to the start of the 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight campaign.

Despite joining with a lot of expectations, Asamoah Gyan could not play much for Legon Cities FC in the first round of the season.

With the second round currently ongoing, the forward who is now back to full-fitness says he hopes to play more to help his team.

“I want to play more matches in the Ghana Premier League but injuries have been a problem. Now that I have recovered I have tried to use the few friendly matches we have played to stay fit.

“I try to stick to the basics to boost my confidence so that during the weekend I will be okay to play,” Asamoah Gyan shared in an interview with Metro TV.

This weekend, Asamoah Gyan and his Legon Cities FC side go up against Dreams FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
