Anderlecht winger, Jeremy Doku, revealed that his parents encouraged him to leave to Liverpool three years ago but he chose to stay at the club.

The 18-year-old has become a key player of the side and has been linked to Europe's top clubs including Real Madrid.
In an interview with De Zondag, he confirmed that his parents wanted him to choose Liverpool but he stayed at Anderlecht.
“At least if Anderlecht was willing to make an effort, which they eventually did."

“My parents and my manager know this very well. My father wanted me to go to Liverpool and my mother too, but I said, “No, I want to stay”."
“For me that was the best path and it has always been in my head."
