I will be an ambassador for Christ instead of Kotoko NCC – Baba Yara shooting victim

Augustine Oppong, the victim of last season’s Baba Yara shooting incident has stressed that he would rather be an ambassador for Christ than to be one for the Asante Kotoko NCC.

Mr. Oppong who lost his eye as a result of the shooting incidence at the stadium last season after a match between Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea appears to have had a fallen out with the supporters' group of the club.

As reported by your most trusted online portal yesterday, he has accused the Kotoko NCC of neglect although he acknowledges that they have given him some support.

In the latest development, it has been revealed that Kotoko NCC is disappointed in the utterances of Augustine Oppong and has hence revoked his ambassadorial role.

Speaking to Pure FM today in a reaction to the revoking of his ambassadorial role, Augustine Oppong says he does not care.

"I'm not perturbed over the Kotoko NCC revoking the Ambassadorial role. An ambassador with an empty stomach? I will be an ambassador for Christ than that of the NCC. All the promises they made have not been fulfilled. Mr. Damenya has done well and I appreciate it”, he said.

Meanwhile, Augustine Oppong has alleged that Kotoko NCC member Nana Kwame Dankwah is collaborating with the Ghana Police Service to make his assault case a foolish one.
