I will score 19 goals to win the golden boot in the Ghana Premier League - Nicholas Gyan

Published on: 29 March 2017

In-form Ebusua Dwarfs striker Nicholas Gyan has revealed his strongest desire of winning the Golden Boot in the Ghana Premier League.

The attacker has been on a scintillating form by scoring in his last five games and creating a couple of assist. Gyan masterminded the first defeat of League leaders Aduana Stars in Match Day 8 of the Ghana Premier League.

Gyan has been dreaming of the goal king award and says he started thinking about it since the end of last season.

“I really want to win the golden boot. Last season I promised myself I will win the golden boot. I am doing my best and I know the God I serve will help me win it,” he told footballghana.com

The striker did not hide his ambitions by revealing his target.

“I can score goals but I have set a target of eighteen to nineteen goals. I will score nineteen goals,” he added.

Latif Atta Blessing won last season’s goal king award with seventeen goals and Gyan looks to be the person to inherit the accolade.
