Aduana Stars forward, Yahaya Mohammed is aiming at clinching the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League golden boot award.
The 32-year-old lost the 2019/20 award to Inter Allies forward, Victorien Adebayor with just a goal following the truncation of the season due to Covid-19.
“I will have won the goal-King if the league continued and I will win when we begin the new season.
“My aim was to win the league title, the goal-King, get a Black Stars call-up and then a foreign move.”
“The foreign offer came, I had the Black Stars call-up but COVID damaged the other ambitions,” Yahaya told Kumasi FM.
“Now, my aim is to make sure I win the league and of course, I will grab the top-scorer award,” he declared.
Yahaya scored 11 goals in the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League that came to an abrupt end.
Meanwhile, the former Asante Kotoko forward will join AshantiGold on loan for the 2020/21 season due to their participation in the Caf Confederations Cup.
However, the 2020/21 Ghana football season has been scheduled to kick off on October.
