President John Dramani Mahama's brother, Ibrahim Mahama has promised the playing body of Bolga All Stars an amount of GH¢ 10,000 for their historic feat of securing a Ghana Premier League promotion.

The president’s younger brother made the promise on Sunday during a peace match for political parties in Bolga as a form of appreciation to the entire playing body of the club following their success in the GN Bank division One League.

Bolga All Stars became the first club from the Upper East region to secure qualification to Ghana's top flight football competition to the delight of Ibrahim Mahama who is hoping to meet the club at the weekend with his donation. The Upper-East based club’s Ghana Premier League qualification status is however being challenged at the Ethics Committee of the Ghana FA following allegations of match fixing in their match week 28 fixture against BA United. Should the Ethics Committee clear Bolga All Stars off any wrongdoing, they will then have the mandate to make Ibrahim Mahama more proud in the Premier League slated for December 18, 2016.
