Celebrated Ghanaian journalist, Ibrahim Sannie Daara has in a statement shared his thoughts on the blowback from Ghana's 1-0 win against South Africa last weekend.

After the Black Stars' win against the Bafana Bafana last Sunday, South Africans with the pains they are feeling have come together to support their FA and the national team.

After monitoring the situation which has gained global attention, Sannie Daara has issued this short but deep statement with an important message for Ghanaians.

Dear colleagues, I hope you are observing what is happening in South Africa at this moment.

You have to note how strongly they back their country and federation when it comes to issues for their country or national teams.

These are big lessons for those of us who are harsh towards the GFA or the Black  Stars.

Yesterday I endured insults from some of the top South African journos who are my friends because of the match.

We are busy selling out our souls to claiming we are being fair. Lets take some lessons from this.
