Assistant Coach of the national team Ibrahim Tanko has advised that young players join better clubs in Europe to avoid a nosedive in their careers.

According to the former Burrosia Dortmund player the young boys cannot be blamed for leaving the country to seek greener pastures however it is the club they end up being with that should be given attention.

After the Africa Junior Championship in Gabon, a lot of the under-17 players, the Black Starlets have been linked with big clubs.

Emmanuel Toku, who was twice Man of the Match was linked with Manchester City.

Wa All Stars player Edmund Owusu Mensah is reported to have joined Bastia for 50000 Euros.

"It is difficult to tell a 17 or 20 year old player to stay in Ghana if an offer comes for them, because we all know the situation here, so you can't blame them for moving out of the Country to play, but i would advise them to move to a good club because we all know the story of Dominic Adiyiah".

Dominic Adiyiah was top scorer and golden boot winner at the FIFA under-20 world cup 2009. He joined Italian giants AC Milan and since then his career has trodden on a downward curve.

The former Heart of Lions man now plays in Thailand for Akhon Ratchasima in the Thai League.
