The budding midfielder has been in devastating form since the start of the 2019/2020 La Liga season and earned his maiden call-up to represent his national team during the international break.

Having excelled when the Black Stars beat the Bafana Bafana in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier, he was handed another starting role when they made the trip to Sao Tome and Principe.

Unfortunately for Baba, he sustained a thigh injury and had to be substituted.

He has now returned to Spain with the medical team at Real Mallorca set to run further checks to assess whether he can recover in time for the team’s upcoming game.

Reports, however, indicate that the player will need some days to return to full fitness and hence will likely miss the match against Levante.
