Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association, Winfred Kweku Osei Palmer has stated in no uncertain terms that if he were to be Kwesi Appiah, he wouldn’t have applied for the Black Stars’ head coach job.

According to Palmer who is the vice chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Kwesi Appiah has served the nation passionately in several capacities and holds that his penchant of wanting to come back to the team is not the best option for him.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, expressed surprise as to why the media are routing for only Kwesi Appiah where there are other local coaches who can also handle the the Black Stars.

“Kwesi Appiah is a very fortunate person. He had the opportunity to captain the Black Stars. He also came in as an assistant coach and was later given the responsibility to head the Black Stars technical team and that’s was the biggest opportunity for Kwesi Appiah to serve this country so If I were him, I would stay out of the Black Stars.” Palmer told Happy FM.

Kwesi Appiah is one of the local coaches who have applied for the Black Stars coaching job.
