Italy ambassador to Ghana and Togo, Daniela d'Orlandi, has expressed her delight over Ghanaian legend, Sulley Ali Muntari's affection for Italy, despite playing active football.

In a meeting between the two, which was focused on collaboration in sports initiatives, Daniela d'Orlandi shared her happiness over Muntari's enduring connection with the European country.

The ambassador, who took to Twitter to share a picture of the meeting, said, "I had a nice chat in Italian with the champion Sulley Muntari, who played many years in Serie A teams Udinese, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Pescara Calcio.

"Happy to hear that he still considers Italy as his second home. Looking forward to our collaboration in sports initiatives."

Muntari played in Serie A for several years, representing Udinese from 2002 to 2007, Inter Milan from 2008 to 2012, AC Milan from 2012 to 2015, and Pescara in 2017.

During his time in Italy, he won several trophies with Inter Milan, including the Serie A, Champions League, and Italian Cups.
