Ghana defender Zico Asare says he is pleased to sign for Harrogate Town in the English League Two because the club’s ambition suits his style of play.

The club announced the signing of the 23-year-old on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in a statement published on their website.

Harrogate did not also disclose how long the contract would run for in their announcement.

Speaking after the deal was sealed, Zico Asare spoke highly about his desire to grab the opportunity at League Two Club.

“I’m really happy to get the deal done, I had a phone call with The Gaffer and he told me the ambitions of the club and the way they play, which was in line with how I like to play.

“I like playing for possession based teams who enjoy being in control of the ball and that are solid defensively, I take pride in my defending but also enjoy getting forward when I can.”
