Former Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Karela United Eric Alagidede has expressed his dissatisfaction about the government's decision on football.
There has been no football in the country since the suspension of sporting activities in March amid the Covid-19.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to outline its plans on how football can return safely, however, the FA would prefer to restart in October.
"To me after Nana Addo’s update "15" speech on Coronavirus, I was a bit surprised and not happy about the way government is treating the football sector," he told Nkunim FM.
"I strongly believe that we can fully observe all the Covid-19 protocols and play our games. Club owners and administrators are suffering.
"It is very pathetic. I think the football sector also needs critical attention as well," he added.
The 2019/20 football season was cancelled by the GFA following a marathon of meeting as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
