The 24-year-old completed the full duration of the game during his debut for AS Monaco in a 2-1 victory over Stade Rennais on Saturday.

Salisu, who joined the French Ligue 1 club from Southampton in the summer, had to undergo surgery to address a groin issue.

His last competitive appearance dated back to March 2023 when he faced Tottenham.

Post-match, Salisu conveyed his sense of accomplishment while speaking to Monaco’s media team, articulating his pride in overcoming challenges and contributing to the team’s success.
