Imoro Ibrahim now begs for food at Kotoko because of unpaid signing on fee, salary – Thunder FC President

Alhaji Abdulai Anass, the President of Thunder FC is accusing Asante Kotoko of turning Imoro Ibrahim into a beggar after failing to pay his signing on fee, as well as unpaid wages and winning bonuses for some months.

The former Ghana youth defender signed for the Porcupine Warriors from the lower division side at the beginning of the 2019/2020 season on a 4-year-deal to boost the squad of the team.

After 6 months, his GHS80,000 signing on fee is yet to be paid. According to Thunder FC President Alhaji Abdulai Anass, that together with unpaid wages at Asante Kotoko has forced the left-back to become a beggar.

“Many clubs wanted to sign Ibrahim Imoro but I decided to give him to Kotoko because it is the club I support. I was promised I will be paid the GHC 80,000 before the season ends but not a penny has been paid to me till now.

“My player Imoro Ibrahim calls me every day for money to buy food because his salaries and bonuses have not been paid", the Thunder FC president told Kumasi FM today.

He added, “He has to resort to Habib Mohammed for food because of his affiliation with him. There are more revelations to the issue I wouldn’t want to address on live radio”.

Since arriving at Kotoko, Imoro Ibrahim has been impressive and has a goal to the good after making 11 appearances.
