Togolese international of Ghanaian descent Yaw Annor has opened up on his debut campaign in the Egyptian Premier League.
After a stellar performance in the Ghanaian top-flight, the enterprising attacker departed Ashantigold in July 2022 to join Ismaily SC in the North African country.
The winger scooped the 2021/22 Premier League top scorer prize after bagging 21 goals at the end of the season.
In his debut season in the Egyptian league, Yaw Annor racked up 7 goals and provided 1 assist in 28 games for Ismaily.
“It’s not easy playing in a different league for the first time. I worked with many coaches at the club but I think things were better for me in the latter part of the season” he told Kessben FM.
His current contract with Ismaily is expected to expire in the summer of 2027.
