Indian League is better than Ghana Premier League - Ex-Hearts striker Abednego Tetteh

Former Hearts of Oak striker, Abednego Tetteh has disclosed that the Indian League is better than Ghana Premier League (GPL).

The 2021/22 GPL season just ended with the Phobians crowned champions for the first in 21 years.

"I've had the chance to play in India. India football and their league are 80% higher than the Ghana Premier League. I always laugh when I hear some journalists underrating Indian football. If someone sits back there and says Indians are only good in acting movies, it's never true," he told Ashaiman TV.

He added, "Our own captain Asamoah Gyan can testify to that. India football is not what we are doing here. Every week they make sure they invite panelists from the EPL, show the matches live, and discuss them.

"They also have players from different countries who are playing in the league. They were colonised by England, so they do their things like the English."

"Here in Ghana, it's only Fabio Gama and one or two players from Nigeria who have come to play here."
