Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan will travel with his colleagues to Congo for their 2018 World Cup qualifier on Tuesday.

Gyan suffered a groin injury on Friday and could not complete the game as he came off in the 60th minute.

Despite his injury, he has sought permission from his club side Kayserispor to travel with the team and offer them moral support.

Harrison Afful who played through pain in Friday's game will also travel to support the team.

Coach Kwasi Appiah and his team are expected to leave Ghana for Congo on Monday for the game which will be played at the Stade Kintele on Tuesday.

The Black Stars must secure a win to revive their World Cup hopes after failing to grab victory in their three matches played so far.
