Injured Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakaso ruled out of action for five months

Ghanaian international, Alhassan Wakaso has been ruled out of action for the next five months due to his broken leg injury.

The combative midfielder joined Cypriot side Olympiakos Nicosia this summer from Portuguese outfit Victoria SC.

In a match against giants AC Omonia in the Cypriot First Division on Sunday, Alhassan Wakaso featured but could not finish the match.

He suffered a broken leg injury and as a result had to be substituted.

Today, footballghana.com has learned that the Ghanaian midfielder has undergone a successfully surgery on the injured leg.

The medical team at Olympiakos Nicosia estimate that Alhassan Wakaso will not be able to return to the pitch until at least four months later.

He should be fully fit again after five months to re-join his teammates.
