This incident happened at the Cape Coast Stadium in the goalless draw game.

The fans, who surprisingly found their way into the tunnel despite the presence of security personnel hence breaching the rules of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) poured some concoction on Adebayor just before the start of the game.

As a result, he was asked to go back to the dressing room and take a shower before joining his teammates on the field.

Speaking in his post-match interview with StarTimes, coach Tony Lokko confirmed the unpleasant act.

"Before the start of the game something happened on the blind side of everybody.

"They [Dwarfs fans] poured some concoction on him [Adebayor] and then he was flared up before the game so I think it affected his game on the field," he said.
