Inter Allies striker Godfrey Utim set sights on European move after COVID-19 pandemic

Inter Allies FC striker Godfrey Aondoaseer Utim is eyeing a move to Europe after the coronavirus pandemic.

The disease also called COVID-19 has led to the suspension of all football activities in the world including the Ghana Premier League bar Belarus with over 2 million confirmed cases and 130,000 deaths worldwide.

Ghana have recorded 641 COVID-19 cases with 8 deaths.

Speaking to Daily Trust on Wednesday, the Nigerian youngster said his dream is to play for one of the best football clubs in Europe after the coronavirus period.

"It is unfortunate that this COVID-19 has unsettled the whole world. However, I am fully focused on my dream which is to play professional football in Europe," he said.

"We are on a break but I am still training at home based on my club’s training programme. I am trusting God that this pandemic will soon be a thing of the past."

Utim added, "For me, this is a temporary setback. By the special grace of God, we shall overcome COVID-19 and move on with football."
