Swedish striker with Ghanaian roots, Robin Quaison, stated that he had interest from Burnley and others to leave Mainz but it did not feel right to him.
Quaison attracted interest during the summer transfer window from Verona, Tottenham and Burnley following his good performances for Mainz in the German Bundesliga but he chose to stay.
"There were not that many, a couple. I do not want to say what it was about, but it was not such a difficult decision. Not so difficult," Quiason told SportExpressen of the summer transfer window.
"Some things did not feel right, I feel very good in Mainz and get to play a lot."
"I feel good in both the city and the club and if I am moving, it should be something that feels very, very good."
