Ashanti Region Sportswriters Association of Ghana (SWAG) on Tuesday, 12 February had its branch inagurated.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium conference room at noon. The President of the Association, Mr. Kwabena Yeboah with his executive members made the occasion colorful following the formation of the interim committee to oversee the activities of the association ahead of elections for Regional executives.
At the occasion was Professor Peter Twumasi, National Sports Authority Director (NSA) and high dignitaries. President Kwabena Yeboah after giving his speech, outdoor the Committee who has been given a year mandate in office to operate after which election will be done.
The Committee includes AshantiGold Chief Executive Officer(CEO) Frederick Acheampong and Frank Owusu Ansah of Kessben TV fame and four others.
