Former Hearts of Oak pair of Inusah Musah and Isaac Mensah has helped Petro Atlético de Luanda to secure qualification to the Group Stage the 2019/2020 CAF Champions League for the first time in 18 years.
The two players who flourish in their respective positions featured for their club earlier today as they drew 1-1 with KCCA FC.
Prior to the fixture, the Angolan club had drawn goalless at home in the first leg and had a slight advantage due to the possible use of the away-goal rule at the end of the two-legged tie.
Following the 1-1 result, Petro Atletico has now earned their ticket to the ‘money zone’ of the top-tier continental inter-club competition.
The feat is the first time for the Angolan club in 18 years with the last time they managed to reach this stage coming in as far back as 2001.
Inusah Musah and Isaac Mensah both impressed on the matchday and will be key for Petro Atletico at the next stage of the prestigious competition.
