Ghanaian international, Isaac Donkor played his first match for his new side SK Sturm Graz over the weekend when they drew 1-1 with Red Bull Salzburg in the Austrian top-flight league last Saturday.
The defender joined the club from Romanian side Universitatea Craiova after enjoying a stellar campaign during the 2018/2019 season where he made a total of 27 appearances.
Donkor was called upon to replace Thomas Schrammel in Sturm Graz’s defensive setup. He played well and combined his defensive duties perfectly with his attacking runs.
His side managed to earn a vital point from the League leaders who were tipped to eventually run away with all 3 points.
After an impressive outing, he is expected to enjoy more minutes in subsequent matches.
