Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass was in action for the reserve team of FC Utrecht on Monday, December 9, 2019, when they posted an emphatic 4-0 victory over FC Groningen at the sports park Zoudenbalch.

In a pulsating encounter that ensued between the two clubs, the Black Meteors attacker managed to bag a brace to inspire his side to get the big win.

Bart Ramselaar opened the scoring for FC Utrecht with an assist from Issah Abass before an own goal from Bart van Hintum made it 2-0.

Abass later scored twice with his second coming from the penalty spot when Eros Maddy was fouled in FC Groningen 18-yard box.

The Ghanaian winger played in the reserves match in a bid to get his form back as he looks to get back into the first team of FC Utrecht to enable him to earn more minutes in the Dutch Eredivisie.
