Boavista started the game better and created several chances, but it took a while to open the scoring.

The first goal only came in the 37th minute, when Gaius Makouta broke through the left aisle and crossed late for a finish in the penalty area, by Sebastian Pérez, who appeared loose in the area.

Five minutes later, again in a move in which the Flaviense defense did very poorly to handle, Salvador Agra crossed into the area and Bozeník headed home.

In the 46th minute, Héctor Hernández reduced the score for GD Chaves.
