Ghanaian youngster Issah Abass was on target for FC Utrecht in their 2-1 away win over FC Eindhoven in the Dutch Cup on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old lasted the entire duration of the game as he helped FC Utrecht advance to the quarter-finals of the competition at the Jan Louwers Stadion.

Samy Bourard gave the home side the lead in the 37th minute but Abass equalised for FC Utrecht after the recess in the 61st minute.

A late goal scored by Jean Christophe Bahebeck on the 112th minute secured FC Utrecht a place in the next stage of the Dutch Cup.

The highly-rated youngster has made 15 appearances and scored five goals for FC Utrecht in all competitions so far in the on-going season.

Abass joined the Dutch club on a season-long loan deal from German club Mainz 05 in the last summer transfer window and has since been a key contributor for the side.
