Istanbul Basaksehir have rejected a bid from Fulham to the sign Ghana international Attamah Larweh in the on-going January transfer window, according to reports in UK.
The 24-year-old defender attracted interest from several clubs with Fulham emerging as the front-runners after impressing at Istanbul Basaksehir, helping them to the summit of the Turkish Super Lig table.
Larweh, who can operate in central defence, right-back or holding midfield makes him an attractive proposition to Fulham as they look to escape from relegation.
Since joining the Turkish based side, he's been a key cog for the side, hence the club has rebuffed the interest from Fulham and claim he is not for sale as they look to keep hold of their squad in a bid to win the league this season.
The London based side want to strengthen throughout their squad in this month's transfer window and believe the acquisition of the Ghanaian will help increase their chances of staying in the Premier League.
Attamah has featured in 45 games for Istanbul Basaksehir since joining in 2016 and he still has 18 months to run on his current deal.
