Asante Kotoko midfielder Micheal Yeboah has debunked reports in the local media claiming he was sacked from training by newly-appointed head coach Charles Akunnor.
Reports went rife in the media that the experienced midfielder was sacked by his coach for reporting late to the training grounds but the player has disclosed to Kumasi based Ash FM that nothing of that sort happened to him.
Yeboah claims he was sick and asked for permission from management to be left out of training hence the ‘untrue’ reports that he was sacked from the team’s training grounds.
“It is never true that I was sacked from the training grounds on Monday by coach CK Akunnor as it is been speculated,” he said.
He added, “I was sick on that day so I got to the training grounds late and I told coach Akapo Patron and he told me to sit aside whiles other players were training so when those around saw that I was sitting whiles the players were training that’s why they taught I was sacked by the coach”.
