Ghana international Salis Abdul Samed has described RC Lens’ victory against Olympique Lyon as an important one.

The Black Stars midfielder started and lasted the entire duration, contributing significantly to towards his sides success.

The midfielder bossed the midfield for Lens as they cruised to a 3-2 win over Lyon on home turf in the week 14 fixture of the French Ligue 1.

Ireland international Jake O'Brien shot Lyon into the game after just 15 minutes after connecting from Ernest Nuamah pass before Wesley Said pulled parity for the host in the 26th minute. The first half of the game ended 1-1.

After the break, Poland international Przemyslaw Frankowski found the back of the net to put Lens in front of the game in the 52nd minute before Jake O'Brien grabbed his second goal of the match to draw Lyon level in the 72nd minute.

Lens prevailed in the clash after Przemyslaw Frankowski hit the back of the opponent net in the 74th minute, his second in the game to seal victory for the host.

The 23-year-old has featured in all 14 French Ligue 1 games for Lens this season.
