Former Uefa Champions League winner, Owen Hargreaves has described Thomas Partey’s debut for Arsenal as one of the best he has ever seen.

The Ghana midfielder moved to Arsenal on transfer deadline day in a move that saw the Gunners paying his 45 million pounds release clause at Atletico Madrid.

On Thursday night, Thomas Partey marked his full debut for his new club when they faced off with Rapid Vienna in Group B of the Uefa Europa League.

On the matchday, the highly-rated midfielder excelled and won the ‘Man of the Match’ award while helping Arsenal to cruise to a 2-1 win against Rapid Vienna.

Speaking to BT Sports on the performance of the Ghana superstar, Owen Hargreaves was full of praise.

“This guy makes it look so easy. He plays (number) 10 passes as a holding midfielder.

“It's one of the best debuts I've ever seen”, the retired English footballer said.

Thomas Partey has been likened to Arsenal legend Patrick Viera and is expected to be key for his team throughout the season.
