The player, who now plies his trade in Ivory Coast with Asec Mimossa believes it will be difficult for Kotoko to make an impact in the Confederations Cup insisting the monetary incentives for Ghanaian clubs is very low to inspire good performance.

"The lowest side in ivory coast example like king faisal in Ghana is able to pay more than GHC 2,000 to 3,000 as monthly salary," he told Crucial Summer on Flood lights Sports.

"Even me at Asec mimosa takes home GHC 1,2000 (120million old CEDI's) as monthly salary. My winning bonus alone is GHC 3,000,"

"It will be very difficult for Asante kotoko to qualify for the next stage of the competition but I pray they achieve it by qualifying," he concluded.

Toure scored for Asec Mimosa as they drew with Buffles du Borgou in Benin in the CAF Champions League. The 30 year old joined Asec from Bechem United after stints with Lokeren in Belgium and Asante Kotoko in Ghana.

The Burkinabe international was close to rejoining Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the transfer window but opted to leave the country for Ivory Coast.
