Kumasi Asante Kotoko defender, Habib Mohammed has indicated that it will be good if the club manages to sign striker Shafiu Mumuni before the start of the next football season.
With the Porcupine Warriors club aiming to win the Ghana Premier League title next season and also do well in the CAF Champions League competition, they will need to have a very strong squad.
Though they have strikers like Naby Keita and William Opoku Mensah in the team, Habib Mohammed believes the addition of Black Stars B captain Shafiu Mumuni will bolster the squad even more.
Speaking to Accra-based Angel FM on Wednesday evening, Habib Mohammed who has played with Shafiu during his time with Ashgold noted that he will be very happy if Kotoko manages to secure his signature.
According to reports, the Ghana Premier League record holders are interested in poaching the forward but are treading cautiously because of the transfer ban imposed by owner and life Patron, His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
