Athletic Club forward Nico Williams says it’s honoured to play for Spain after choosing the European country ahead of Ghana.
The forward who opted to represent the 2010 World Cup winners put up an impressive performance to help Spain to the 'final four' of the League of Nations.
The 20-year-old assisted Alvaro Morata to score the decisive goal as Spain beat Portugal 1-0 in Braga to advance to the Nations League last four.
"It's an honor to be here and to be able to help the team. I've only seen Morata and nothing more than I've thought about passing it on to him. We're very happy about qualifying", explained the Athletic Club player to Spanish Television.
"I'm doing well, I'm growing little by little as a player and as a person."
Speaking about his chances of making Spain squad for World Cup, he said, "hopefully" it will happen because he works for it, "although it depends on the mister,"
