It's frustrating but he will bounce back stronger - Laryea Kingston backs Kudus Mohammed

Former Ghana international, Laryea Kingston has backed Kudus Mohammed to rediscover his form when he returns from injury.

The Ajax midfielder has been out of action since picking up an injury in Ghana's final round of game against South Africa in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Stadium last month.

Kudus suffered a rib injury while on international duty with Ghana and is set to be out for the rest of the year and likely to miss the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

“It is all about your mind, it is about mental toughness, and it can be frustrating sometimes. I have spent time with him and I know he will be frustrated with the injuries but again, he is with the right club that can help him stay longer on the pitch,” Kingston told Citi Sports.

“He needs to trust the process, but I understand it can be difficult sometimes. It is sad to see Kudus go through this, Ghana needs him, and he is a key player for us, but he is in a good professional environment, and he knows what to do. It is dark days, but I know he can bounce back strongly,” he added.

Kudus Mohammed joined the Dutch side from Danish side, FC Nordsjaelland.
