It's not up to me - Hudson-Odoi on Chelsea recall option after loan transfer to Bayer Leverkusen

Ghana target Callum Hudson-Odoi has disclosed that he does not have the final say on whether Chelsea will trigger a recall option in January that returns him to Stamford Bridge.

Hudson-Odoi joined Bayer Leverkusen in order to get game-time under his belt after falling out of favour under Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge.

The move was sanctioned by owner Todd Boehly in the summer with both parties agreeing that first team football was necessary in order to help the 21-year-old reach his full-potential.

"I can't really say, because at the end of the day it's not up to me. I can only do what I can do now for the club and push myself to the max here. We don't know what will happen from now to the end of the season," he told Sky Sports.

"Right now I'm just focusing on playing as much football as possible and trying to help the team."

Hudson-Odoi has made five appearances for Bayer Leverkusen across all competitions and provided one assist.
