It’s too early to give Zubairu Ibrahim Black Stars call-up, says King Faisal vice chair

Vice-Chairman of King Faisal Football Club, Alhaji Kamel has opposed calls for youngster Zubairu Ibrahim to be invited to the Black Stars.

Following his hat-trick against Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League, the attacker has gained a lot of praise.

According to King Faisal owner Alhaji Karim Grusah, Zubairu Ibrahim is a very intelligent player and should be considered for a place in the Black Stars squad.

However, this thought is opposed by club vice-chairman Alhaji Kamel.

He argues that the player is very young and needs time to mature before he is considered for the Ghana national team.

“I don't think so, it is too early to say Zubairu should be called into the Black Stars, he's an upcoming player who needs to start from the U20 and progress to the U23 and ultimately into Black Stars,” Alhaji Kamel told Ahomka FM in an interview.

Meanwhile, Zubairu Ibrahim over the weekend was invited to the camp of the Ghana U-20 team.
