The head coach for Ajax Amsterdam, Erik ten Hag has expressed his disappointment to the latest injury to Mohammed Kudus ahead of the start of the 2021 football season.

The forward after several injury setbacks last season is set to miss the first few weeks of the new campaign as a result of a knee problem.

According to his head coach Erik ten Hag, the injury is very annoying especially after the outstanding form the player has displayed in pre-season.

"Very annoying. I expect his walker to come off this week. Then we can look further,” the Ajax head coach has said in an interview.

Erik ten Hag added, "We have no indication. The past taught me that I have to be careful. NEC will be a difficult story.”

Although Mohammed Kudus is set to miss the cup match against PSV next weekend, he is likely to make a return the following week for the start of the league season.

He will today train individually as he works on regaining full fitness.
