AshantiGold striker Shafiu Mumuni is confident the Miners will beat regional-rivals Asante Kotoko on Sunday to lift the maiden J.A Kufuor Annual Cup.
The match is one of the initiatives of former president John Agyekum Kufuor's foundation and aims to raise GH₵80 million Ghana cedis in the next five years to promote its activities and to honour the ex-president.
Speaking ahead of the game, the goal poacher is optimistic that his side will defeat the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday.
"We (Ashgold) are training very well for the game against Kotoko on Sunday," he said.
"We the players are very ready for the game on Sunday and we are going all out to win the trophy."
The match will be played at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and will be officiated by referee Maxwell Mensah from Koforidua.
