Carragher was writing in his column, withMauricio Pochettino's side are currently fifth in the league and have not lost a game in the ten fixtures sofar in the Premier League, winning five and drawing five.

However the momentum garnered from the memorable 2-0 home win over Pep Guardiola's Manchester City has seen the team not win in six in all competitions, resembling the form that saw the side's title challenge collapse at the end of last season, leading to them finishing third - behind their North London rivals Arsenal.

But the ex-Liverpool defender claims that any negativity at the club's results would be extinguished if Spurs get a positive result at the Emirates on Sunday.

Would it be the end of the world if Spurs failed to advance? Again, the answer is no,

The aim for Tottenham is to be Champions League regulars but, with them only being three points off the top, why can't they push for the title?

They will be in the thick of the fight and remember, they are the Premier League's only unbeaten team.

Should that still be true after they have faced Arsenal, the mood around Tottenham will change completely.

Tottenham are expected to have forward Harry Kane and defender Toby Alderweireld available in the match day squad after returning from their injuries.
