Veteran Ghanaian coach JE Sarpong says the decision to call Andre Ayew and his brother Jordan Ayew is in the right direction.

The duo have been invited by Ghana coach Kwasi Appiah for the first time in over a year for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia.

A lot of views have been shared since the announcement of the squad, Whiles some are in favour of the Ayews return, others opposed the decision vehemently.

But JE Sarpong insists ccoach Kwasi Appiah took the right decision by calling the Ayew brothers.

"For me I think it is in the right direction to call the two brothers at this time," he said

"Let us not dwell too much on their current form for their respective clubs but look at what they can bring to the team.

He added that " Ghana must qualify for the AFCON and we need all our best players to do that, it is a must win against Ethiopia."

The Black Stars are expected to move to camping in Kenya on November 12 ahead of the game which will be played on November 18 at Addis Ababa.
