Ghanaian International Jennifer Cudjoe played 70 minutes of the action as her side Sky Blue FC secured a 2-0 win against Houston Dash in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) Challenge Cup.

The Cudjoe 26, who has represented Ghana in both FIFA Women’s Under 17 and 20 World Cups had her debut start in the NWSL league.

She had previously been used as a substitute in her side’s not-too-impressive performances prior to their matchday three encounter. The team had drawn its first game and lost the second.

Sky Blue FC secured its first full points thanks to goals from Paige Monaghan and Naho Kawasumi, both goals in the first half.

Jennifer was substituted for Imani Dorsey with 70 minutes showing on the clock.

Sky Blue FC on 4 points now, will be hoping to extend their fine form when they take on league leaders North Carolina Courage on Tuesday.
