The defender born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents joined the German Bundesliga outfit last week in a sensational move from Scottish giants Celtic.

Although he hoped to immediately hit the ground running, Jeremie Frimpong did not have any role to play for Bayer Leverkusen over the weekend when the team lost narrowly to RB Leipzig.

This is due to the fact that he has been put in quarantine for five days and will have to text negative subsequently before he is allowed to link up with his new teammates per the regulations of German authorities.

In line with that, Jeremie Frimpong is waiting to come out of quarantine and will be keen on playing a role for his new club next weekend when they take on Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

The ex-Manchester City academy graduate joined Bayer Leverkusen from Celtic for a fee of 11.5 million.
