Bayern Munich centre-back Jerome Boateng sustained a leg injury during Bayern Munich's 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal final.
The German-born Ghanaian was exceptional during the game before sustaining the injury. He had the setback whilst trying to deny Kai Havertz's dangerous pass to Leon Bailey which was certain to give Leverkusen a chance to get a goal.
He signaled to the bench right after the challenge and was replaced by Lucas Hernandez.
Robert Lewandowski's brace and strikes from Gnabry and Alaba gave the Bavarians the win. Sven Bender and Kai Havertz scored for the opponents.
Boateng made three clearances, blocked one shot, made two interceptions, had two tackles, and won three out of four duels.
The former Manchester City man has made 34 appearances in all competitions this season.
