Eintracht Frankfurt and Real Madrid loanee Jesus Vallejo could replace Pepe as the club's long term centre-back.
Pepe has been linked with a move away from Real, with no contract yet agreed by the two parties. The Portugal international has made over 300 appearances for the La Liga giants, helping the club win two league titles and two Champions League's.
Vallejo joined Frankfurt on loan at the beginning of the season, and has impressed with his rapid development. The 19-year-old has made 16 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, helping Niko Kovac's into an impressive fourth place.
According toMarca, Vallejo could be used as the natural heir to Pepe next season, having impressed manager Zinedine Zidane with his performances in Germany.
Vallejo, who has made seven appearances for Spain's U21 side, would face competition for Raphael Varane, who has battled Pepe for first-team appearances ever since his move to the Bernabeu back in 2011.
Vallejo joined Madrid in 2015, having impressed for fellow La Liga side Real Zaragoza. He made 31 appearances for Los Manos before being loaned back to the club following his move to Real. He was also part of the Spain U19 side which won theUEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2015.
Sergio Ramos could act as the perfect mentor to Vallejo, having appeared in over 300 La Liga games since joining the club from Sevilla back in 2005.
