Leicester’s Premier League winning stars got a special surprise upon arriving at training today, two days before the Community Shield final against Manchester United.

Leicester City’s Thai chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha bought 19 BMW i8’s, worth around £100,000 each, for last season’s champions.

Interestingly, Claudio Ranieri used 23 players last season but there were only 19 cars.

The four players to miss out were Ghanaian forward Joe Dodoo, Andrej Kramaric, Yohan Benalouane and N’Golo Kante were almost definitely the four players to miss out on the BMW i8’s.

Dodoo recently left Leicester to join Scottish powerhouse Rangers causing him to miss-out on the gift his compatriots Daniel Amartey and Jeffrey Schlupp took home.

He signed a four-year deal with the Glasgow-based club, for a £250,000 development fee.

Key midfielder N’Golo Kante recently jumped ship for Chelsea whilst the other three only made a handful of substitute appearances between them.

Only Yohan Benalouane is still a Leicester City player although the Tunisian is currently AWOL after being sent out on loan to Fiorentina in January.
