Ghanaian striker John Antwi bagged a brace but was unable to prevent his side Al Alhy from slumping to a 3-2 loss against ZESCO United away at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Saturday.

The CAF Champions League Group A opener started as a brisk pace but the Egyptians fell behind in the 28th minute when Chang Andu scored for Zambia's ZESCO.

However, Antwi drew Ahly level two minutes later after he finished a great ball from Ramadan Sobhy.

Both sides went into recess level at the break but ZESCO returned much more motivated and race into a two-goal lead.

Both goals were scored in quick succession by Chama who scored for ZESCO in the 49th and 55th minute.

However, the Ghanaian striker completed his brace in the 67th minute when he scored Al Ahly’s second goal after an impressive solo run from Ramadan Sobhy.
