John Boye to miss Metz trip to Lyon this weekend through injury

Ghanaian defender John Boye remains injured and will miss Metz’s upcoming fixture against Olympic Lyon in the French Ligue 1.

The Black Stars center back has been out with an injury for a while now and missed his side’s encounter against Nantes last Saturday when they were defeated 1-0.

The team was subsequently handed a day's rest and resumed training on Tuesday. Checks have revealed that John Boye could not join his teammates in training as he continues to receive treatment on the sidelines.

Reports indicated that Metz manager Vincent Hognon will not have the services of Boye when his side makes the trip to Lyon on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

Other players expected to miss the match include Thomas Delaine, Ibrahima Niane (ankle injury) and Paul Delacroix (shoulder injury).

John Boye is hoping to make a full recovery after this week to give his side a squad boost at a time where they continue to struggle in the French Lig 1.
